Radiology Assistant – The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust

An exciting opportunity has become available to recruit Radiology Assistants to work within the Radiology Department at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with rotation to Whitchurch Hospital.

We are looking for individuals who are caring, compassionate, and possess strong communication and observation skills to deliver excellent patient‑focused care in a challenging environment. Candidates must work well as part of a team, be flexible, and be able to work days, nights, and weekends to meet service needs.

Consideration will be given to applicants for both full‑time and part‑time hours.

The post involves supporting Radiologists, Radiographers, and Assistant Practitioners in providing quality patient care across all modalities of the imaging department, including CT, MRI, and the general department.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the movement of patients around examination rooms
• Using the Radiology Information System (CRIS)
• Ensuring correct equipment use and reporting any faults
• Coordinating with a wide range of staff, including other departments
