Job Overview
Position: Psychotherapist/Therapist – Complex Trauma Service (CTS)
Location: Homes in Shrewsbury (3), Wolverhampton (1), and Walsall (1) with occasional travel to Tamworth as required.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week). Part‑time may be considered.
Salary: up to £46,178 DOE.
Reports to: Clinical Lead and Clinical Director.
Role DescriptionYou will provide a trauma‑informed therapeutic service for children and young people through staff training, consultation, individual assessment and direct therapy. The therapist will support staff to build positive and healthy relationships with young people, enabling them to grow, develop and achieve their full potential using approaches such as DDP, PACE and Therapeutic Parenting.
This role requires a holistic approach to help staff develop the children and young people’s wellbeing, independence and social and emotional resilience, within a consultative model and multi‑disciplinary setting. Individual therapy will be delivered using trauma‑informed evidence‑based practices.

Candidate Profile- A child‑centred individual passionate about enabling positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Experience of working with children and young people as a qualified therapist.
- Registered with a relevant professional organisation (e.g., BACP, HCPC).
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Experience working with Looked‑After Children ideally within residential services.
