Experienced Support Worker – Community Based

Available Shifts

As you will be joining a small, dedicated team supporting our service users, we can offer a good degree of flexibility around working patterns. Whether you're looking for full-time hours, longer shifts, sleepovers, or a few shifts each week to fit around other commitments, we'd be happy to discuss options that work for you.

We have a range of shifts available, including:

  • 15:00 – 22:00
  • 08:00 – 22:00
  • 15:00 – 20:00

There are opportunities to work longer 24-48 hour packages with sleepovers
, day shifts only, or solely sleepover shifts, depending on the needs of the service and your availability. We aim to be as flexible as possible while ensuring continuity of care and support for the individuals we work with.

Pay Rate: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for a rewarding role within a supportive and well-established care provider? We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals within their own homes. You will play a vital role in helping people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.

We have opportunities supporting young adults within the community, helping them to, build confidence, access education opportunities, and participate in social and recreational activities. These roles focus on empowering individuals to lead more independent and fulfilling lives while providing the guidance and support they need to achieve their personal goals.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide tailored one-to-one support to individuals in their own homes, helping them to live safely, independently, and comfortably while remaining in familiar surroundings. Support will be based on each person's individual needs, preferences, and care plan. You will work closely with the service user, their family, and the branch team to ensure the highest standard of person-centred care is delivered at all times.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting with personal care
  • Assisting with daily living activities and household tasks
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting individuals with medication where required
  • Accompanying individuals into the community for appointments, activities, and social outings
  • Encouraging independence, choice, and confidence in everyday life
  • Promoting dignity, respect, and wellbeing
  • Following care and support plans
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Communicating effectively with the service user, their family, and the branch team
  • Reporting any changes in the individual's needs, health, or wellbeing to the appropriate people
  • Supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and maintain an active, fulfilling lifestyle

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous care or support work experience
  • A caring and compassionate nature
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle
  • Good communication skills
  • A reliable and professional approach
  • The right to work in the UK
