Working hours:
37.5 hours per week. Term time plus 4 weeks. Shift pattern applicable.
Start date:
April 2026.
Contract:
Permanent.
Ercall Wood Academy is looking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about the value of education and is committed to making a positive difference to our community. The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for the provision of efficient and effective management of facilities and to support the school. Including ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards set by the school, and that heating and fire systems operate at optimum efficiency.
The post holder will plan and prioritise own work without direct supervision. Evening and weekend work may be required. The postholder will require a full UK Driving Licence (manual).

- Manage facility operations to ensure efficient and effective services for the school.
- Maintain security and general appearance of buildings and surrounding areas to required standards.
- Ensure heating and fire systems operate at optimum efficiency.
- Plan and prioritise own work with minimal supervision.
- Occasional evening and weekend work as required.
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual).
- Safeguarding and welfare responsibilities in line with statutory guidance.
- Enhanced DBS check (including a check on the children’s barred list) for roles involving regulated activity.
- References required for shortlisted candidates; online checks and criminal self-disclosure declarations may be required prior to interview.
- Understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and Safer Recruitment practices.
