Senior Revenues and Benefits Manager

Senior Revenues & Benefits Manager Shropshire | Hybrid (1 day per week on-site)£33.78 per hour PAYE | £45.52 per hour Umbrella 3-Month Contract We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenues & Benefits Manager to support the delivery of key local authority services including Council Tax, Business Rates (NNDR), Benefits Administration and Debt Recovery.

• Lead and manage Revenues & Benefits teams, driving performance and service improvement.
• Oversee Council Tax and Business Rates billing, collection and recovery.
• Ensure effective delivery of Housing Benefits, Council Tax Support and discretionary funding schemes.
• Manage debt recovery, arrears and over payments in line with legislation and Council policy.
• Lead the implementation of new government initiatives, relief schemes and funding programmes.
• Ensure compliance, governance and accurate statutory reporting.
• Produce performance reports and provide strategic support to senior management.

• Extensive experience within Revenues & Benefits in a local authority setting.
• Strong knowledge of Council Tax, NNDR and Benefits legislation.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Experience managing income collection, debt recovery and service performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
