Job Title: Planning Manager

Location: Shrewsbury

Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 - DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm (flexibility required due to business needs)

Job Type: Permanent

Reporting To: Retail General Manager

Purpose of the role: Due to internal promotion the opportunity has arisen to join this incredible business overseeing and producing daily Production plans. Using various Planning and Factory systems to process incoming orders ensuring they are ready for picking and revising daily plans accordingly. You will play a central role in communication between various Departments and have responsibility for planning and managing inventories, production batch control and raw materials

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Production Planning Team to deliver accurate production plans to achieve customer order service levels.
• Forecasting customer orders and planning a production schedule for the day.
• Capacity/Promotional Planning. Maximise use of products obtaining high yields and low waste.
• Communicating with Production Managers to inform of the production plans and explain any anomalies.
• Efficiently deploy and manage departmental resource.
• Ensure all legal and legislative requirements are maintained and up to date.
• To manage, maintain, monitor and improve upon Key Performance.
• Indicators and standards expected. Attend regular internal and external meetings.
• Analysis of data, providing regular reports. Coach, mentor and develop the Planning Team.

You will have proven experience working within a Food /FMCG Production Manufacturing environment and possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with be able to influence both Internal and External Stakeholders.

You will possess excellent attention to detail with a numerical mindset and a drive to improve planning efficiencies.
