CNC Technician – Double Days

A recognised high volume manufacturer is currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a CNC Technician working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire.

The CNC Technician will be responsible for:

• Support production on a daily basis.
• Competent in running CNCs and all aspects of machine performance, fault finding, and diagnostics.
• Maintain hydraulic fixture operation, clamping repeatability and machining position to casting.
• Change tools, track tool life, and investigate tool breakages.
• Monitor part quality, adjust offsets and improve process capability.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and assist in the generation of SWI’s.
• Set procedures and standards.
• Drive TPM and 5S.
• Train, mentor and guide others on how to operate equipment safely and correctly.
• Other related duties as determined by the Process Engineering Manager or Process Engineers.
• Promote the company’s HSE policies across the department and plant.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an apprenticeship or formal qualification.
• Proven experience in CNC machine setting.
