Die Casting Team Leader

Our client is a global leader in advanced automotive manufacturing and engineering solutions, delivering innovative body, chassis and lightweight structural technologies to some of the world's leading vehicle manufacturers. They are seeking a DCM Setting Team Leader to lead and develop the die casting setting team, driving safe, efficient and consistent manufacturing performance within a high-volume automotive production environment.

As a DCM Setting Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the die casting setting team, improving operational performance and ensuring processes are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

• Leading and developing the DCM Setting team through coaching, mentoring and performance support.
• Ensuring compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies across the department.
• Managing day-to-day die casting setting activities to achieve safe, efficient and consistent production.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency and process stability.
• Leading run-up activities following die changes, identifying improvement opportunities and reducing start-up times.
• Supporting cross-functional improvement projects with a focus on key production performance metrics.
• Working with engineering, quality, production and maintenance teams to identify and resolve process issues.
• Supporting improvements in right-first-time performance through effective problem solving.
• Collecting, analysing and reporting process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

• Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Die Casting Machine (DCM) setting activities.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
• Strong understanding of die casting processes and parameter management.
• Basic knowledge of high-pressure die casting (HPDC) die design.
• Experience implementing process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with process auditing and maintaining manufacturing standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques.
• Project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
