The role We’re looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to join our growing team at Verve, based at our studio in Shrewsbury. This is a permanent four-day working week, giving you the opportunity to take on a genuinely responsible agency role while enjoying a three-day weekend every week.
This is a broad and varied role for someone with strong all-round digital marketing experience, but just as importantly, someone who is brilliant with clients.
You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of retained digital marketing clients, becoming their trusted day-to-day contact, understanding their businesses and objectives, and ensuring we're continually looking for ways to improve their performance and get the maximum value from their relationship with Verve.
You’ll work alongside our existing Junior Digital Marketing Executive and Design & Marketing Executive, helping to organise, support and develop the team while working closely with our designers, developers and directors.
We're looking for someone who is confident, commercially minded and exceptionally organised. Someone who enjoys talking to clients, isn't afraid to challenge them when appropriate, and is always thinking: “What should we be doing next for this client?”
What you’ll be doingYou’ll take a leading role in the management and development of Verve’s digital marketing portfolio, including:
- Account managing a portfolio of retained digital marketing clients, becoming their trusted day-to-day point of contact
- Building strong relationships and developing a genuine understanding of each client's business, objectives and challenges
- Leading regular client meetings, presenting results and agreeing priorities and next steps
- Keeping client activity organised, planned and moving forward, ensuring actions don't disappear between meetings
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance, add value and grow client accounts
- Overseeing and contributing to PPC campaigns across Search and Social
- Developing and overseeing SEO strategies and ongoing optimisation
- Overseeing organic and paid social media activity
- Planning and coordinating content, email marketing and other digital activity
- Reviewing performance data and translating it into clear, commercially relevant recommendations for clients
- Working with our Junior Digital Marketing Executive and Design & Marketing Executive to plan workloads, priorities and activity
- Supporting and developing other members of the marketing team, sharing knowledge and helping them progress
- Working closely with Verve's designers and developers to deliver joined-up digital campaigns
- Contributing to the continued development of Verve's digital marketing services, processes and techniques
- Playing an active role in winning new digital marketing business and growing our retained client portfolio
- Identifying additional opportunities within existing accounts where they will genuinely benefit the client
- Getting involved in the development, launch and marketing of Verve's own products and platforms
Essential experience & skills:
Strong all-round knowledge and practical experience of digital marketing
- Proven experience across PPC, SEO and social media, with an understanding of how different channels work together
- Experience managing client accounts and building long-term client relationships
- A confident, personable communicator who genuinely enjoys talking to clients
- Exceptionally organised, with the ability to manage multiple clients, campaigns, deadlines and team priorities
