• Job Title: Assistant Stylist (Trainee Dog Groomer)
• Salary: £12.21/hour + Commission (subject to targets)
• Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time (39 hours/week)

Join the vibrant Groom Room team at Pets at Home in Telford as an Assistant Stylist, where you’ll help deliver top-tier grooming services and pet care. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about animals and eager to grow in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

• Prepare dogs for grooming using safe handling techniques
• Assist with clipping, bathing, and pre-grooming procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service and pet care advice
• Maintain salon cleanliness and safety standards
• Work flexibly to support busy periods, holidays, and absences
• Participate in training and development programs, including “Earn As You Learn”

Preferred:

• Experience handling dogs in a professional grooming or pet care setting
• Background in customer-facing roles
• Familiarity with target-driven environments

Required:

• Passion for pets and delivering great service
• Flexibility to work varied shifts across the week
• Willingness to complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of training to become a Stylist
• 28 days paid leave, rising to 33 after 2 years
