Hours:

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours work each week, generally including some weekend work.

Hourly pay rate of £13.61. Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week ensures earnings of at least £272 per week. Overtime may be available.

• Support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

• Trustworthy and reliable, able to be an important part of a small team.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable but not essential.
• Completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if successful and offered the advertised position.
