Senior Full-Stack Headless Developer

As a Full-Stack Headless Developer at Youwe, you will bridge design and backend systems to build seamless, user-centric applications. Working with designers, engineers, and clients, you will develop responsive front-ends and integrate them with multiple backend services via APIs. Your role is to ensure creative visions are technically feasible while delivering secure, high-performance, and composable platforms within a dynamic headless landscape.

• Development:
  Design front-end structures that are highly responsive, scalable, and maintainable using React, Next.js and Type Script. Develop integrations with backend services (REST, Webhooks, Graph
  
  QL) in Node.js. Work with API gateways and event-based systems. Ensuring high-performance, secure and composable aspects are applied throughout.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with designers to implement UI/UX requirements and translate creative vision into technical reality. Collaborate with backend engineers and SaaS partners to define and maintain API contracts (REST and Graph
  
  QL). Engage directly with clients to clarify requirements and refine technical architecture.
• Project Delivery:
  Take full ownership of end-to-end technical architecture and delivery. Define project structure and technical approach to ensure long-term scalability and code quality.
• Team Leadership:
  Lead and mentor other developers, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews. Ensure team growth and consistency within projects.
• Standards:
  Ensure all digital products meet usability best practises and accessibility standards (ARIA, keyboard support). Ensure integrations are setup.

• Experience:
  
  5+ years of relevant commercial experience building modern React applications (hooks, composition patterns, controlled/uncontrolled components, state lifting and beyond) with backend systems (caching, databases, Graph
  
  QL, API interfaces). Ability to work directly with clients and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong proficiency with Node.js and backend service integration. Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and Type Script, alongside an in-depth understanding of HTML, CSS and Java script. Solid understanding of API-first, composable and headless architecture patterns.
• Design Sensibility: A strong eye for detail and the ability to interpret design files accurately, ensuring visual consistency and high-quality UI execution.
• Data & APIs:
  Practical experience integrating with Headless platforms and working with RESTful or Graph
  
  QL APIs. Ensuring dataflows are correctly mapped out and integrated, with a focus on security, performance and reliability.
• Engineering Mindset:
  Ability to provide technical direction, make pragmatic delivery decisions and maintain high standards for code quality.
• Usability: A solid understanding of web accessibility and user-centric development.
