B1.3 Licensed Engineers – Airbus Helicopters UK
Join the world’s leading helicopter service provider and the backbone of Britain’s civil and military rotorcraft hub. We are seeking professional B1.3 Licensed Engineers to maintain excellence across our fleet of H135 and H145.
Location Flexibility- RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) – Supporting the MFTS fleet.
- RAF Valley (Anglesey) – Supporting the MFTS fleet.
Take a leading role in transforming UK military aviation support. You will be part of the inaugural 7‑day MFTS Base Maintenance team, working 12‑hour equalised shift cycles (4‑on/4‑off or 7‑on/7‑off).

The role is full‑time (40 hours per week) reporting to the MFTS Base Maintenance Manager.
B1 Licensed Engineer (Mechanical)
- Responsible for certifying maintenance, repairs and inspections on airframe structures, power plants and mechanical systems.
- Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
- CAA Part 66 B1.3 License (Turbine Rotorcraft) – Essential.
- Relevant AHUK type ratings for H135 and H145.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Eligibility for SC Clearance; DBS check required.
- Knowledge of CAA Part 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
- Customer focus – identify customer problems and deliver sustainable solutions.
- Integrity & reliability – thorough working knowledge of CAA Part 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements.
- Teamwork – work effectively as part of a team and independently.
