Warehouse Team Leader

Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our Jellycat operation in Swadlincote on a 12-month maternity cover contract .

Working a 5 on, 2 off shift pattern (13:30 – 22:00) , you'll play a key role in leading warehouse colleagues, coordinating operational activity and ensuring customer expectations are consistently achieved. Pay, benefits and more:

Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, quality and service targets are consistently achieved across your designated areas Act as the first point of escalation for operational and colleague-related issues, proactively resolving challenges to maintain workflow and customer service levels Monitor and analyse operational KPIs, utilising warehouse systems and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive operational excellence Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures, conducting observations and supporting investigations where required Coach, develop and support warehouse colleagues, sharing best practice and building capability to create a highly engaged and high-performing team What you need to succeed at GXO:
Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar operational leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Experience working with warehouse management systems and operational reporting tools to support decision-making and performance management Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams while building positive relationships across operational functions A proactive and adaptable approach, with a strong focus on customer service, continuous improvement and maintaining high operational standards We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
