Senior Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Required in Sidcup, Kent
Our client, a reputable family‑run garage specialising in German vehicles, is seeking an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their dedicated team in Sidcup, Kent. As a key member of the team, the Senior Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester will play a vital role in delivering exceptional standards of vehicle maintenance and repair.

- Servicing and repairing a variety of German and high‑performance vehicles, including passenger cars, vans, and Class 7 vehicles
- Conducting detailed vehicle diagnostics using dealer‑standard equipment
- Performing complex repairs such as timing chains, gearboxes, and other heavy mechanical tasks
- Carrying out MOT testing, either as a qualified tester or after qualifying
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive service and repair records
- Upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times
- Providing expert technical advice and support to colleagues and customers
- At least 3 years’ post‑apprenticeship experience working with premium vehicle brands
- Valid MOT test licence or demonstrable MOT testing capability; willingness to train for qualification if necessary
- Strong diagnostic skills with experience using main dealer diagnostic tools and scanners
- Ability to service, repair, and diagnose a wide range of vehicle issues efficiently
- Own set of mechanics tools
- Proactive approach to diagnostics and repairs, with a keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of German vehicle systems such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes‑Benz, or Porsche is highly desirable
