We are recruiting for a MOT Tester role at a reputable automotive service centre in Sidcup, Kent.

Competitive basic salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience
No weekend work, with standard hours from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Achievable OTE approximately £40,000

Duties of a MOT Tester:
Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards
Diagnose vehicle faults using mechanical expertise and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs, servicing, and maintenance tasks on a diverse range of vehicles
Use hand and power tools efficiently to complete inspections and repairs
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used
Assist in vehicle inspections, identifying potential issues proactively
Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations within the workshop
Provide clear explanations to customers regarding repairs and vehicle conditions
Requirements of a MOT Tester:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester or in a similar role
Valid MOT testing licence or willingness to obtain one
Full UK driving licence
Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
Proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools
Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing efficiently
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
