Seasonal Business Tax Expert — Intuit

WhatYou Will Do
- Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information responsibly, reliably, and safely.
- Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the correct answer to customers using everyday language.
- Interact with customers via video communication software, documenting interactions to maintain accurate records.
- Interact with customers and team members professionally while adhering to and promoting Intuit’s operating values and integrity.
- Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws, evidenced by 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax preparation software.
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per year in a tax practice or retail setting.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing Business Tax returns for service‑industry customers preferred.
- Ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
- Commitment to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week in 4‑hour shift increments throughout the tax season.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficient with technology; solid computer skills.
- Strong customer service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria.
Base pay ranges vary by location:
Bay Area (CA): $40.10–$46.20;
Southern California (CA): $40.10–$46.20;
Colorado (CO): $38.20–$43.90;
Hawaii (HI): $40.10–$46.20;
Illinois (IL): $38.20–$43.90;
Maryland (MD): $38.20–$43.90;
Massachusetts (MA): $40.10–$46.20;
Minnesota (MN): $34.40–$39.56;
New Jersey (NJ): $40.10–$46.20;
New York (NY): $40.10–$46.20;
Ohio (OH): $34.40–$39.56;
Vermont (VT): $38.20–$43.90;
Washington (WA): $40.10–$46.20;
Washington DC (DC): $38.20–$43.90.
This position is eligible for cash bonuses, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with Intuit plans and programs. Pay is based on job knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Intuit conducts regular comparisons across ethnicity and gender to drive pay equity.
