• Responsible for equipment concept, quoting, design, debugging, and production.
• Robotic programming to optimize production efficiency.
• Provide technical support and training to the operations team, tooling department, maintenance department, and outside vendor sources.
• Troubleshoot problems with processes and hardware.
• Provide and maintain new equipment component standards.
• Work with programmable controllers, robots, and CNC equipment.
• Generate CAD drawings for facility layout, electrical schematics, mechanical fabrication design, and equipment design.
• Provide technical support for all health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Support manufacturing through project activities to improve quality, consistency, and output by recommending, implementing, and documenting improvements.
• Specify, order, and perform follow‑up for equipment purchases. Assure proper workmanship to American Trim’s specifications.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment for safety violations, hazards, and improvements.
• Provide technical support on electrical controls, automation initiatives, and equipment improvements/upgrades.
• Maintain equipment records.
• Maintain program schedules and cost performance to budget.

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline.

Minimum three (3) years of experience with a high-volume manufacturing facility and automated equipment.

Proficiency in reading and creating electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings.

Experience with Allen Bradley controls and software (RS Logix 500, Studio 5000).

Familiarity with ANSI and OSHA safety standards related to robotic or mechanical equipment.

Intermediate or better experience using mechanical design software such as Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works.

Ability to identify, define, and resolve problems in a timely manner by analyzing information, collecting data, and developing alternative solutions.

Ability to develop project plans, coordinate projects, communicate changes and progress, complete projects on time, and implement cost saving measures.

Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information; use intuition, creativity, and experience to design workflows and procedures.
