Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a 1st shift CO2 laboratory technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.

• Follow engineering laboratory test instructions for testing of compressors.
• Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes.
• Operate laboratory test equipment including CO2 stands, calorimeters, durability life test stands, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics.
• Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests or builds.
• Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards.
• Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab.
• Complete required tests or builds and communicate test results with engineers.
• Provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.

• Associate's degree plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have basic HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills.
• Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs.
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

This position is on 1st shift and would consist of five to eight-hour work days, and would be eligible for voluntary overtime.

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
