Under the direct authority of the Chief Probation Officer, the deputy bailiff is responsible for the security of the Municipal Court.
QUALIFICATIONSCompletion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); minimum of six (6) months of security or bailiff experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSMust possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the City’s vehicle insurance policy; weapons and L.E.A.D.S certifications required or must be able to obtain such certifications within the required period.
EQUIPMENT OPERATEDMotor vehicle, electronic monitoring equipment; firearm; pepper spray; radio; personal computer, telephone, copier, fax machine, printer, calculator, and other standard office equipment.
