$22.77 per hour
Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour extra for second shift.
Shifts Available and Hours1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Responsibilities- Keep all production areas stocked with materials and components, skids, and other essential materials. Use the daily production schedule to ensure timely availability. Lost production time due to line‑side delivery issues is unacceptable.
- Organize materials and components efficiently. Stage and sequence material in racks and zones according to the where‑used principle and ensure FIFO for all materials and components.
- Ensure proper material identification for all material sitting in Plant. Materials and components cannot be moved unless identified with a Move Ticket.
- Load designated trucks according to shipping instructions. Ensure accuracy in loading of customer product, safe handling, and that all skids/racks have necessary labels, banding, and shrink wrap.
- Unload designated trucks upon arrival. Production needs are a priority. Alert team members if a significant delay occurs and seek assistance as needed.
- Complete the forklift preventive maintenance checklist at the start of each shift. Report any mechanical problems or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to work daily and weekend overtime as required.
- Prior experience operating LP gas or electric sit‑down forklifts in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Successful completion of an internal forklift training/safety course is required.
- Must pass a drug/alcohol screen and physical exam. Note that accommodations can and will be made in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs frequently during an 8–10 hour shift.
- Ability to mount and dismount a forklift frequently during the scheduled shift.
- Ability to successfully complete a 90‑day orientation period.
