Create and maintain a working environment that allows parts to be manufactured for various customers. Insist that parts are manufactured in a safe and timely manner, while meeting the customers’ quality standards. Operate and set up various equipment as needed.

What you will be doing
- All safety issues are #1 priority. Ensure safe work practices are followed, and all safety rules/policies are followed.
- Next to safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and production needs are the primary responsibility.
- Execute daily shift startup MDI meeting within cell to include:
- HSE from previous 24 hours (first aids, near misses, recordable injuries). Focus on hand/finger injuries as well as ergonomic opportunities.
- Quality concerns from previous 24 hours.
- Lead problem solving and corrective action process both internal and external.
- Front line quality sign offs within work cell, OIS verification and 1st article signoff.
- Review of quality alerts and/or manufacturing alerts implemented within cell.
- OEE communication regarding current production targets including daily rates (hourly goal sheets), personnel needs and cross-training of personnel throughout cell.
- Ensure work instructions are followed.
- Responsible for ensuring shop floor confirmations are entered accurately.
- Individually run production as needed and/or available. This is a working team lead position.
- Responsible for successful training of crew associates as required.
- Maintain 5S/Housekeeping standards for responsible areas.
- Responsible for reporting all work/conduct violations to superiors.
- Engage with operators and coordinate hourly production workforce as directed by Manufacturing Supervisor. Monitor productivity, safety, and quality while working to meet customer requirements.
- Develop and write up new job processes and work procedures as needed in the production Area including set‑ups.
- Instruct production personnel in proper operation of machines and/or tools required to perform assigned job duties.
- Maintain all cross training of production associates as well as keeping production associates current on their Hydro Extrusions Safety training.
- Perform physical observations of jobs and assist in setting reasonable expectations.
- Assist in scheduling product flow to meet customer requirements. Follow the schedule.
- Assist in determining how many employees are needed to meet production requirements.
- Assist in the layout of the production area to promote efficiency.
- Work with maintenance and tool room personnel by scheduling times for machine and equipment repair, preventative maintenance, etc. so as not to interfere with the production schedule. Help troubleshoot equipment maintenance issues.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is required.
- Minimum of three years prior leadership experience or similar work experience preferred.
- Minimum of five years industrial experience.
- IATF experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts is a plus.
- Knowledge in machining, CNC programming, Fixturing, and tooling suggested.
- Experience in the fields of bending, welding, machining, stamping, and assembly is a plus.
- SAP familiarity desired.
- Must be able to perform several tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to respond quickly to problems; ability to work in a stressful environment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co‑workers, supervisors, and managers in both written and verbal formats.
- Must be able to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Must follow plant-wide safety procedures at all times.
- Must pass a drug/alcohol screen and physical exam. Must be able to follow the company’s Fitness for Duty Policy Agreement (HRF-030) after hire. (

- Must successfully complete a ninety (90) day orientation period.
