Shift Lead

Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $16.00/hr

A Shift Lead at S&G serves as direct support of the store manager; ensures that the store operates efficiently and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and Company policies; properly manages employees and works closely with the Store Manager to ensure the store maximizes sales and profits while maintaining asset controls.

• Provide excellent customer service leadership to all customers.
• Acknowledge/greet all customers that come into the store.
• Ensure that all company policies are being followed.
• Promote and maintain a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Efficiently process both cash and card transactions with integrity.
• Ensure all merchandising and marketing programs are implemented properly, including maintaining plan‑ogram integrity and appropriate sign placement.
• Ensure food service products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out-of-date products.
• Monitor store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notify the appropriate individuals.

• Retail experience / customer service experience required.
• Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• Able to stand for an entire shift.
• Ability to periodically handle routine physical tasks such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time (e.g., in the store, outside, and in the cooler).
• Available to work various shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays.
