RECORDS CLERK (SEACOM) - SIERRA VISTA

ANTICIPATED RATE OF PAY: $16.03 to $20.05 hourly dependent upon qualifications plus a comprehensive benefits package to include membership in the Arizona State Retirement System.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical support activities for the maintenance of SEACOM’s records management and administration; performs related duties as assigned. As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class.
TYPICALDUTIES
- Conducts cursory background checks using Spillman RMS for employment backgrounds, Citizens Police Academy background.
- Performs entries into the Arizona Crime Information Center (ACIC) and/or National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer system for warrants, Order of Protection (OOP)/Injunction Against Harassment (INJ), stolen articles, stolen vehicles, stolen/lost guns, victims of identity theft, and missing persons.
- Performs criminal history checks using ACIC/NCIC at the request of law enforcement (LE) and/or authorized records personnel for inclusion in Spillman incidents.
- Retrieves and verifies case/incident information using Spillman and/or case files to perform validation of warrant, Order of Protection/Injunction Against Harassment, stolen article, stolen vehicle, identity theft, and missing persons in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
- Ensures records are retained in compliance with the most recent Law Enforcement Records Retention Schedule issued by the Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records.
- Utilizes Spillman RMS to retrieve mandatory Good Samaritan reporting information for the Arizona Department of Health Services on a monthly basis.
- Applies quality control standards to entries made in ACIC/NCIC by Public Safety Dispatchers and maintains performance standard scores.
- High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years general clerical office experience or completion of a course or program in office management or a closely related field; typing of 35 words per minute minimum; must be a minimum of 18 years of age; must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s license and the ability to be covered by county insurance.

Work is primarily performed under general supervision. Incumbent generally performs work in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEssential functions of this position require lifting up to 10 pounds, manual dexterity, ability to communicate. Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting majority of time; walking and standing are required, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Mental Application:
Utilizes memory for details and verbal instructions, requires emotional stability, empathy, critical thinking, adaptability and creative problem-solving skills.
