As an Endoscopy Technician who excels in this role, you will:
- Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of endoscopic procedures.
- Prepare the endoscopy suite with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure good working order of scopes and equipment.
- Validate that complete and current reprocessing of the scope has occurred for every procedure.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, and positioning patients.
- Pass scopes and supplies to assist the physician during endoscopy procedures.
- Continually account for use of supplies during endoscopy procedures.
- Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
- Provide inspection, decontamination, assembly, and high‑level disinfection of scopes and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, ASGE, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.
- Operate departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.
- Process and document all scopes and supplies using chemical, biological, and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
- Monitor and perform antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation as required.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed a Surgical Technologist program (preferred).
- Surgical Tech experience (preferred).
- Basic Life Support certification.
