Associate Network Administrator; WAN

Overview

Join to apply for the Associate Network Administrator (WAN) role at SOSi in Fort Huachuca. This position supports the Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure for a mission-critical environment, ensuring reliable and secure operations.

• Maintain responsibility for administration and day-to-day operation of the organization's WAN perimeter and critical infrastructure assets.
• Ensure security procedures are implemented and enforced.
• Install network software.
• Evaluate, develop and maintain telecommunications systems.
• Troubleshoot WAN problems.
• Support patching and system hardening through STIG application.
• Develop, update, and provide evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team-controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation.
• Establish and implement WAN policies, procedures, and standards and ensure conformance with information systems and organization objectives.
• Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
• Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and Smart Books associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Participate in special projects as required.

• Active in scope SECRET clearance with T5 investigation or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET T5 eligibility.
• HS + 2 years of similar technical experience or AA/AS or BS/BA.
• An IAT II certification (CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) or higher is required.
• CEH or equivalent within 60 days.

• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
