• Rotate all merchandise according to code dating policies and check product quality to ensure freshness; review sell by dates and take appropriate action.
• Promote trust and respect among team members.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions regarding products sold.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold; respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Order, label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to store management.
• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, understanding the Point of Sale system, and handling various tenders.
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to encourage teamwork.
• Report pricing discrepancies, safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
• Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment issues.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and climbing, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Complete cashier training program.
• Memorize produce and sale items.
• Effective communication and reading skills.
• Must be 18 years old.

• Retail experience.
