About the Position
John Brown University seeks a full‑time faculty member in Nursing beginning in Fall 2026. This position reports to the Nursing Department Chair.
Responsibilities- Participating in clinical rotations
- Teaching in skills labs
- Developing curriculum
- Providing classroom instruction
- Teaching duties and courses determined by department needs and faculty experience or area(s) of expertise
- Registered nurse (RN) with a minimum of 5 years of nursing practice experience
- Hold or be eligible for an unencumbered license in Arkansas
- Graduate degree in nursing
- Committed follower of Jesus Christ
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Ability to contribute to the mission and vision of the institution
- Commitment to integrating Christian faith and learning
- Commitment to supporting and collaborating with students, faculty, and staff from varied academic and cultural backgrounds
- Terminal degree in nursing
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP, CNM, or PMHNP)
- Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses and/or clinicals
- Membership and active participation in professional nursing organizations
- Demonstrated evidence of scholarly potential
- Experience leading nursing students in domestic and/or international service projects
- Evidence of successfully teaching, mentoring or working with people who have different perspectives, life experiences, and cultural expressions
