RN Hospice Weekdays

Overview

We have a variety of shift configurations for Full and Part Time.

• The RN Case Manager assumes patient care responsibilities for individual patients including: completing comprehensive physical assessment, pain assessment and management, and symptom control management as it relates to terminal illness.
• Coordinate Circle of Life services to the patient/family.
• Complete required documentation (i.e. assessments, care plans, clinical notes, agency tracking forms, etc.) in a timely manner in accordance with COL policies.
• Establish a therapeutic nursing relationship with the Hospice patient/family/caregivers.
• Provide weekend coverage and may assist during times of excessive nursing absenteeism.

• Current unrestricted AR RN license, BLS certification.
• Strong assessment skills with critical thinking and a high level of problem solving within a healthcare facility.
• Strong documentation and communication with the ability to stay calm and cope with human suffering and emergencies.
• Must be able to work alongside an interdisciplinary team and collaborate effectively with members of the team.
• Prefer hospice experience, home health, or acute care nursing experience with computer charting experience.
• Must be able to manage time effectively and hold a visit standard of 1 hour per visit.
