Aha Instructors

Join our team as an AHA Instructor at Gila Regional Medical Center. We are seeking healthcare professionals with a desire to teach and make a direct impact on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Instruct various life support courses, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or NRP, following the guidelines of the American Heart Association and American Academy of Pediatrics.

• Teach at least 4 courses in 2 years according to AHA guidelines
• Maintain current provider certification
• Support the Chain of Survival and AHA's mission in the community
• Conduct in accordance with the ECC Leadership Code of Conduct
• Avoid conflicts of interest as per AHA policies
• Teach or co-teach 2 instructor-led events every 2 years, including NRP guidelines

• Conduct courses per AHA standards
• Provide hands-on training and evaluate participants
• Keep accurate records of attendance and performance
• Stay updated with AHA content changes
• Maintain training equipment
• Foster a positive learning environment

• Current AHA Instructor certification or willing to obtain
• Current NRP Instructor certification or willing to obtain
• Experience as a physician, RN, NP, RT, PA, CM, or CNM in neonatal care
• Ongoing experience caring for newborns in delivery or birthing centers
