Position Summary:
Empire Landscape is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support the accounting team with daily financial and administrative tasks. This position provides hands-on experience in payroll processing, accounts payable, financial recordkeeping, and basic account reconciliations while developing practical accounting skills in a professional work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Assist with processing employee paychecks and supporting payroll tasks.
Help manage Accounts Payable (AP) by reviewing invoices and preparing payments.
Perform weekly filing of financial documents and maintain organized accounting records.
Enter financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
Support the accounting team with basic reconciliations and administrative tasks.
Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial information
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
Previous accounting or administrative experience is a plus but is not required.
Schedule:The intern is required to work in the office on Wednesdays to assist with weekly filing and accounting tasks. Additional hours may be available depending on workload, business needs, and the intern’s availability. The expected weekly hours and any additional scheduling arrangements will be discussed with the selected candidate.
