Position: Records Management Specialist I (White Oak Campus, MD)

Records Management Specialist I (Silver Spring, MD)

Location: Silver Spring, MD (White Oak Campus)

Pay Range: $41,600.00/yr - $41,850.00/yr

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

This is an onsite position providing records management support to assist with processing regulatory and non-regulatory application/documents.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for processing regulatory and non-regulatory application/documents.
  • Perform data entry, logging, filing, scanning, photocopying, labeling documents, and jacket folders per contract specifications.
  • Prepare acknowledgement letters, process reviews, memorandums, forms, assist division personnel, and handle file maintenance tasks such as filing, checking order of volumes, and shifting volumes as needed.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to project staff and become familiar with the terminology for the supported unit while maintaining comprehensive understanding of the project's facets.
  • Perform computer support duties including word processing, operating standard computer and office equipment, indexing and filing both physical and electronic documents, retrieving documents, collecting information for databases, and performing routine data entry.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of related records management experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn and participate in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move standard boxes up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong computer skills to perform data entry and related tasks at industry rates.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
