BBA After school Inc. is looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and dependable After-School STEM Instructor to lead hands‑on learning activities for elementary‑aged students in Silver Spring, MD.

This is a great opportunity for educators, science enthusiasts, engineers, technology enthusiasts, tutors, makers, or anyone passionate about helping children explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

• Activity: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)

• Location: Silver Spring, MD

• Schedule: After-school afternoon hours, to be confirmed

• Session Length: 1.5 hours

• Pay: $37.50 per session ($25 per hour)

• Position: Part-time, in-person

• Monday through Friday, depending on program scheduling
• No lesson planning required
• Curriculum, activity guidance, and materials provided

Instructors will teach basic STEM concepts through fun, hands‑on, age‑appropriate activities, including:

• Simple science experiments and discovery activities
• Beginner engineering and building challenges
• Basic technology concepts
• Math, logic, and problem‑solving games
• Creative design challenges
• Teamwork, curiosity, and critical thinking

• Lead engaging STEM activities for elementary‑aged students
• Explain basic concepts in a fun and accessible way
• Guide students through hands‑on projects and challenges
• Encourage curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and problem‑solving
• Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment
• Follow BBA's curriculum and program guidelines
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership

• STEM or science instructors
• Teachers, tutors, and educators
• Science, technology, or engineering enthusiasts
• Makers and hands‑on activity leaders
• Camp counselors and youth program instructors
• College students and recent graduates with relevant experience
• Anyone who enjoys hands‑on learning and working with children

• STEM, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or education experience preferred
• Experience working with children is a plus
• Patient, creative, dependable, and organized
• Comfortable leading elementary‑aged students
• Reliable transportation to the program location
• Must successfully complete required background checks
