The Electronic Maintenance Technician II will work with the Radio Frequency Field Engineer to support the continuity of electronic equipment used by NOAA's Radio Frequency Interference Modeling System (RFIMS) and ancillary systems.
Responsibilities- Plan and perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance actions to keep RFIMS subsystems, ancillary equipment, and support systems functioning normally.
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on RFIMS RMS hardware subsystems in accordance with the RFIMS Operations and Maintenance Manual.
- Maintain interference and monitoring equipment according to equipment manufacturer specifications.
- Restore equipment to nominal performance after preventive maintenance.
- Perform corrective maintenance on RFIMS subsystems and other equipment to restore normal operation within specified mean time to restore or a reasonable timeframe that minimizes downtime.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience maintaining electrical equipment and systems.
- Experience working with Radio Frequency equipment.
The projected compensation range for this position is $91,000 to $104,000 per year.
