Corporate Tax Manager

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to lead taxation and compliance and planning for a publicly traded organization in the Silver Spring, MD area. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule.

• Manage federal/state income tax compliance and planning.
• Oversee sales tax exemption certificates and address tax opportunities, incentives, and risks.
• Support tax compliance for employee benefits, executive compensation, and payroll reporting.
• Prepare/review annual income tax provisions per ASC 740 and other supporting documentation.
• Conduct tax research and communicate findings to leadership.
• Collaborate on tax strategy presentations for senior management.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field is required.
• 7+ years of tax experience, including state/local and indirect tax.
• 2+ years of managerial experience.
• Experience working at a multinational corporation or regional/"Big 4" accounting firm and/or CPA licensure is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience researching analyzing tax laws and regulations and documenting tax issues.

• Salary Range: approximately $130,000 - $170,000 annually, commensurate with experience
