Registered Respiratory Therapist – Full Time, Day Shifts (Holy Cross)

Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, MD

Employment Type: Full Time / 36 Hours Weekly

Shift: Day Shift; 7 am – 7 pm

• Perform respiratory care procedures in response to patient needs and physician direction/orders.
• Assess the respiratory status of assigned patients through physical exam, chart review, and response to ordered therapy; make recommendations to achieve optimal response.
• Perform airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure quality of care.
• Provide care for patients of all ages per unit scope of care.
• Utilize knowledge of growth and development principles appropriate to the patient’s age.
• Involve appropriate parties (family, guardians, agencies) in assessment, treatment, and ongoing care.

• Registry with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current licensure from the state of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.

• At least one year of clinical experience highly preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) if working in NICU/Special Care Nursery.

Pay Range: $33.73 – $50.59 per hour (based on experience, skills, and education). Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
