Phlebotomist Security Clearance

Position: Phlebotomist with Security Clearance
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Phlebotomist to support our government customer located in Silver Spring, MD . The hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the collection and handling of blood specimens and related assessment of volunteer safety used in diagnosing and tracking illnesses, drug testing, clinical trials, or other health-related areas requiring a blood sample.

* Prepare lab tube requirements and associated paperwork for next-day visits, ensuring all required documents are present and the correct version.

* Provide a written monthly update report of any issues or concerns involving the laboratory, freezer storage, or phlebotomy operations (equipment, supplies), and status of or issues involving CLIA/CLP certifications.

* Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED DEGREE/

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

* Requires completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) program and passing a national PBT certification exam.

* IATA Certification REQUIRED

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Must have four plus (4+) years of relevant experience.

* Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks. REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
