Job Description
Phlebotomist I – Silver Spring, MD, Monday to Friday (hours may vary between 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, including rotational weekends).
Pay range: $17.20–$24.62/hour. May be eligible for shift differential of 10% for second shift and 15% for third shift. Annual performance bonus possible.

Responsibilities- Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
- Administer oral solutions (training required).
- Research test/client information, confirm and verify orders using lab technology, client contact, and tools.
- Obtain identification and enter billing information, collect payments as per corporate policies.
- Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing transport.
- Perform non‑patient duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, email.
- Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data when requested.
- Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.).
- Complete online and in‑person training courses on time.
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
Work Experience
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service in retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
Ability to communicate in English.
