Direct Support Professional

Compensation: $21.50 per hour. Part‑time. Saturday & Sunday 3pm‑11pm.
Position Summary:
Direct Support Professionals assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live in and enrich their community while achieving personal, family, social, and spiritual goals. DSPs are the key to independence and self‑determination for adults with disabilities and perform the core function of Jubilee’s mission.
- Provide in‑person daily support according to person‑centered plans, including social and community activities, relationship development, life successes and challenges, emotional support, decision‑making, shopping, cooking, cleaning, personal care, medical visits, medication, mobility, exercise, financial management, transportation, and punctuality.
- Encourage community engagement and overcome participation barriers.
- Complete required training and certificationsvän such as first aid, CPR, CMT, etc.
- Follow service authorization, person‑centered plan, behavior plan, and nursing plan.
- Document services, medication, progress, incidents per policy.
- Maintain communication with supervisor, colleagues, and families.
- Attend team and staff meetings, contribute to program evaluation.
- Know policies and procedures.
- Accompany clients on vacations or conferences occasionally.
- Perform awake overnight duties if assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma.
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
- Prior direct support experience desirable but not required.
- Commitment to Jubilee’s core valuesರಿಗೆ.
- Computer skills for email and data systems.
- Current U.S. driver’s license.
Fixed starting pay $21.50 per hour. Opportunities for raises and promotions. Median income for full‑time employees $66,000 per year.
Benefits include four weeks vacation, two weeks sick leave, health/dental/life/disability insurance for employee and dependents, 5% retirement match after one year, 7 paid holidays, $1,000 student loan assistance or tuition reimbursement, paid training, Flexible Spending Account, vacation expense reimbursement, and additional paid leave such as parental, bereavement, jury service. Eligibility for some benefits starts at 20‑30 hours per week.
All employees must be fully vaccinated for Covid before starting work.
