MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBThe main purpose of this position is to provide non‑clinical case management services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. This position will also assist with screening and educational activities for individuals who are at risk for HIV and HCV.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. - Experience:
One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health‑related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. - Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health‑related field of work on a year‑for‑year basis for the required experience and education.
The desired candidate should possess the following:
- 1. Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- 2. Experience demonstrating strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
- 3. Experience maintaining routine and confidential files, logs and program data.
- 4. Experience organizing and completing work according to assigned schedules.
- 5. Experience working independently or as part of a group.
