Global Science & Technology, Inc. is seeking an expert in project management and software planning tools to support the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellite service in Silver Spring, MD. The position requires mid to senior level software development project management experience.
GST is looking for an enthusiastic project manager who is expert in software planning tools to function as an Integrated Master Scheduler for some of NOAA's satellite planning and data management activities. In this role, you will focus on enterprise level project data and timelines and help coordinate science and technology planning and departmental coordination for senior leadership. This position has been approved for a hybrid schedule with onsite days in an office in Silver Spring, MD.
PrimaryDuties
- Use Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Jira to manage project milestones and facilitate Agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Work with subject matter experts to identify key milestones and map them to work breakdown structures.
- Manage an overall schedule control board and illustrate NOAA's progress on satellite launches and other capabilities to partners.
- Support planning of a common cloud framework and on-prem integration projects.
- Use Smartsheet, or learn quickly, to visualize project information and share across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis on science or technology management, software development, information technology, or project management.
- Five to ten years of software development or master scheduler project experience in support of senior leadership, preferably in the science, cloud migration, and government sectors.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, both waterfall and Agile.
- Government background investigation eligibility. Applicants selected will be subject to investigation.

Work Arrangement- Hybrid: periodic work from company/client site facility.
