Base pay range: $90,000 – $95,000 per year.

What We’re Looking ForThe Manager of Grant Accounting will oversee the Grants Department, integrate department work with other Sante teams, manage grant staff across budgeting, contracting, and award administration, and ensure accurate invoicing and reporting with local county agencies and program directors on a monthly basis. The role requires deep knowledge of the grant lifecycle and assistance in developing grant proposals.
What You’ll Do- Maintain and update a comprehensive grant manual and operational policies for contracts and grant management.
- Draft templates for contracts and grants, provide in‑house training on contractual and compliance topics, and propose related project records in Blackbaud NXT.
- Manage revenue recognition entries, multi‑job cost re‑allocations, and collaborate with the GL team to process required entries.
- Participate in monthly grant review meetings with the Program Director to assess performance, expenditure, and potential monitoring issues.
- Cross‑reference accounting system data with approved budgets, provide coding guidance, and train program directors on grant budgeting.
- Recruit, train, hire, and supervise Grant Accounting staff.
- Participate in the development and review of grant proposals, including budget development, and manage template and worksheet updates that support award compliance and grant training.
- Lead the management of new and renewal grant awards, coordinate award document collection, and maintain proper document storage.
- Assist in contract negotiation, advise upper management on contractual risk, and manage disputes related to contractual issues.
- Maintain open lines of communication with grant agency monitors, set up project account systems, and monitor compliance with agreement terms.
- Conduct regular meetings with program directors to review financial statements, staff allocations, key milestones, deliverables, and forecast grant spending.
- Supervise preparation of grant agency invoices and reimbursement requests to ensure continuous cash flow.
- Participate in annual audits by grant agencies and manage project close‑out requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Six to ten years of related experience, including at least five years of non‑profit accounting and leadership experience.
- Minimum of four years of experience with federal grant management.
- Strong independent and collaborative work skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in GAAP and experience with Blackbaud NXT is an asset.
- Competitive salary at $90,000 – $95,000 per year.
