Education Specialist (RN) – Day Shift, Medical Surgical/Observation
Adventist Health Care invites applicants to join the White Oak Medical Center as an Education Specialist (RN) for our Medical Surgical and Observation units. The role focuses on extending God’s care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Onboard and orient newly hired staff.
- Assess competency and evaluate performance.
- Provide continuing nursing education.
- Identify practice gaps and learning needs.
- Develop an education plan based on professional practice gaps.
- Assist nurses in preparation for specialty certification.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate activities promoting professional role development.
- Plan nursing education and provide contact hours for educational offerings.
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- 2 years in clinical specialty.
- Recent clinical expertise in Med Surge/Observation strongly preferred.
- 2 years of nursing education experience preferred.
- 1 year in leadership role preferred (charge nurse, preceptor).
- Certification in clinical specialty or nursing professional development within one year of hire.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
5 8‑hour day shifts; 40 hours per week.
Pay Range$77,313.60 – $.
