Responsibilities- Lead your team by inspiring confidence in their abilities.
- Create a pipeline of future leaders by effectively training, coaching, and developing your people to take on additional responsibility.
- Engage with guests and Nandocas to develop relationships and create lasting connections.
- Practice and support appropriate goal setting with Assistant General Manager and Restaurant Managers.
- Practice and consistently exude professional language and demeanor to navigate and resolve situations with both Nandocas and guests.
- Effectively delegate tasks to empower and develop your Assistant General Manager and Restaurant Managers.
- Own and execute performance reviews.
- Display complete knowledge and ownership of Nando’s food safety and operational standards to ensure a safe guest and Nandoca experience.
- Safeguard keys, secure doors, and oversee security by setting the alarm.
- Ensure the weekly completion and accuracy of inventory, Administrative File, and time‑keeping for payroll submission.
- Teach and manage the creation of effective manager and Nandoca schedules aligned with financial targets.
- Practice responsible cash management: monies issued, safe counts, deposit preparation, cashier checks, authorizations, refunds, and voids following Nando's policies.
- Execute all opening duties: read the Manager Communication Log (MCL), review staff line‑up, check catering orders, operational preparedness, sales forecast, inventory, prep sheet, safe count, cashier assignments, and chicken cook sheet.
- Own back‑of‑house duties during the shift: completion of prep and pull/thaw lists, full utilization of the cook sheet, timely and accurate line checks.
- Conduct a shift changeover: reconcile monies and safe, validate food and production levels, perform a final walk‑through, and update the Manager Communication Log (MCL).
- Execute all closing duties: final walk‑through for cleanliness, set up catering orders for the next day, complete closing inventory, reconcile cash, validate time‑keeping, run end‑of‑day reports, update MCL.
Pay range: $68,000-$103,135 per year.

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Three to five years of General Manager experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures and ability to coach and train the team.
- Friendly and polite with a professional work ethic.
- Flexibility to work different job functions, shifts, and overtime.
- Basic computer and internet navigation skills.
- Successfully complete manager training within allotted time.
- Pass a background and credit check.
- Must be able to work at any restaurant in the region from a food/alcohol licensing and transportation perspective.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently for extended periods.
- Walk or stand for 8‑10 hours per day.
- Hand‑eye coordination.
- Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping.
- Pushing and pulling.
- Lifting overhead.
- Climb stairs in restaurants with multiple levels.
