This position combines field service, programming, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer interaction
.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications - Commercial Building Automation Experience
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC building automation experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of current, hands‑on Tridium Niagara 4 experience.
  • Recent experience actively working within Niagara 4.
  • Experience must include more than simply monitoring systems or making basic adjustments.
  • Experience with both service and installation in occupied commercial buildings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field.
  • Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar BAS systems without requiring continuous supervision.
Candidates should have hands‑on experience with multiple aspects of Niagara 4, including:

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who can walk into an unfamiliar commercial building, connect to the BAS, evaluate the system, gather the necessary information, troubleshoot methodically, and determine what needs to happen next.

The successful candidate should understand both:

The software side

  • Graphics
  • Device integration
  • Networks
  • Histories and alarms
The physical side
  • Commercial HVAC equipment
  • Sensors
  • Actuators
  • Valves
  • Dampers
  • Controllers
Current Niagara 4 experience is required.

Candidates whose Niagara experience is primarily from an earlier period of their career, or whose recent experience is limited to monitoring systems, making basic adjustments, or working from programming completed by others, will not meet the requirements for this position.

Ideal Candidate
  • The ideal candidate is an experienced BAS professional who can independently handle installation, programming, commissioning, service, and troubleshooting in commercial facilities.
  • You should be comfortable walking into a customer facility, assessing an unfamiliar system, working with a JACE and laptop, troubleshooting the controls network, and bringing the system online.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers are also important.
