Full-Stack Engineer; Startup Studio

The Role:

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who is comfortable moving between traditional development and modern platform-based tools to help bring new products to market. You’ll be responsible for building and refining web applications—often working from early prototypes, internal frameworks, or evolving MVPs.

This role involves both front-end and back-end development, along with the ability to support or extend low-code/no-code builds where deeper technical customization is needed. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to translate concepts into production-ready software.

Familiarity with AI-powered development environments—such as Cursor, Windsurf, or similar tools—is strongly preferred, as we actively leverage these technologies to accelerate and streamline our engineering workflows.

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using a mix of traditional code and platform-based tools
• Implement back-end logic, database integrations, and API connections
• Extend the functionality of low-code/no-code projects through custom code where necessary
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to increase speed and efficiency
• Participate in code reviews, QA, deployment, and documentation processes
• Collaborate with team members across product, design, and strategy to ensure smooth implementation

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python for back-end development, automation, and data processing
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (e.g., Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, Cloud Formation)
• Familiarity with both SQL and No
  
  SQL databases and experience designing scalable data models
• Comfortable with Git, REST APIs, and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with or openness to working across no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., Replit, Bolt, Lovable)
• Experience with leveraging AI-powered development environments to accelerate delivery and improve developer productivity

• A well-rounded full-stack developer who enjoys turning concepts into real, functioning software
• Capable of enhancing and completing existing projects with clean, scalable code
• Comfortable operating autonomously while collaborating closely with a small, dynamic team

This is a hybrid position based in Silver Spring, MD, requiring in-office work 4 days per week. You’ll be joining a small, fast-moving team where your contributions will be both visible and impactful.
