Safety Coordinator​/General Clerk III

* ** SAFETY COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Coordinate and arrange safety committee meetings.
* Coordinate daily safety topics for worksite meetings.
* Update site workers on any safety policy changes or safety improvements.
* Review AHA’s and help with the development and revision of AHA’s
* Work with your supervisor to eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe work practices. Intervene if you believe an employee is engaged in an unsafe work practice.
* Assist with accident investigations that occur at your worksite.
* Conduct monthly safety inspections of work areas. Document and report all deficiencies
* Listen to employee suggestions about safety and bring those that appear to have merit to the SSHO for review.
* Conduct yourself in a safe and professional manner in compliance with site policy, OSHA, or EM385 rules.
* Gather hazardous condition reports as they are submitted to help determine the focus of Safety meetings.
* Attend monthly Safety meetings held by the SSHO.
* Participate in new hire training regarding Safety.
* Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, and be efficient and timely.
* Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
* Cross-train in all areas and locations, and be willing to learn new skills and tasks.
* ** CLERK III RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Administrative Support.
* Data Entry.
* Communication (Written & Verbal).
* Scheduling.
* Technical Office Skills.
* Problem Solving.
* One (1) year of safety experience preferred.
* OSHA 30 certification preferred.
* Must be familiar with risk management, compliance, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
* May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
* Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
* Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
* A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
