Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification for night shifts in an acute care radiology setting.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care radiology department with 3 CT scanners
- Performs routine CT exams for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases
- Handles specialized procedures such as cardiac CT, biopsy/drain, and cryo/microwave ablations
- Expected to perform trauma CT exams and occasionally float to X-ray for ED, inpatient, or outpatient cases
- Average of 65-70 scans per 24-hour period across 3 scanners (1 GE REV CT, 2 GE REV HD)
- EMR system is Epic and PACS is SECTRA; experience with Epic preferred
- Night shift schedule:
Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - Optional call required with a 45-minute response time
- Radiologist on site 24/7 for support
- Supervised by both imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead techs
- Professional attire required; any color scrubs acceptable unless working in the OR where hospital scrubs are provided
- Department orientation provided during first three days
- Holiday coverage required if scheduled
- Candidates may be required to participate in a phone interview with the unit manager
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
- Active ARRT RT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
- Current BLS certification required
- IV skills helpful for outpatient cases
- Must be able to perform all routine and trauma CT exams
- Radiation badge required prior to start
- License required if applicable; active state or compact license required at time of consideration
- Must provide two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Pending licenses or certifications will not be accepted
