Tessera is seeking a proficient and knowledgeable Grounds/Structural Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you’ll oversee the upkeep and maintenance of grounds, buildings, and structures, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and compliant. You will lead maintenance crews, coordinate repair projects, and make sure all work meets quality and contract requirements. Productivity, workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and the team’s success depend on the leadership team position’s efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a world‑class safety culture through leadership engagement, risk management, training, and positive safety behaviors.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and preventing complacency.
  • Contract Management:
    Understand and manage contract requirements; brief customers and resolve issues.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Use data and BI tools to improve performance metrics (capacity, on‑time completion, quality, customer satisfaction).
  • Change Management:
    Implement changes effectively and communicate the “why” clearly to staff.
  • Supervise repair and maintenance of painted surfaces, fencing, concrete, asphalt, roads, swales, culverts, drainage ditches, and snow removal.
  • Communicate directly with customers; address inquiries, complaints, and additional repair needs.
  • Ensure all work meets quality control standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems proactively.
  • Oversee scheduler to track repair status and completion dates.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly environments.
  • Ensure contract compliance and timely correction of QC inspection issues.
  • Train employees in work methods and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain reports (schedules, attendance, training, evaluations, documentation, timekeeping, accident reports).
  • Organize, schedule, and lead personnel for Maximo work orders and projects; close completed work orders with required billing details.
Qualifications
  • High school Diploma/GED required;
    Associate’s degree preferred.
  • 0–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience are considered.
  • Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, roofing systems, and electrical work.
  • Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather.
  • Ability to lead a team of trade professionals.
  • Experience in general contracting/maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work in varied environments, including inclement weather and high places.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking; standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in/out of a vehicle, and up/down stairs may also be required.
  • Must persevere under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements
  • A valid state driver’s license is required; ability to obtain and maintain Tessera’s insurance coverage.
