This unit, located in the 8 North Tower, has 18 private rooms and is a telemetry‑capable medical‑surgical unit. Our unit consists of general surgical and overflow medical patients with multi‑system involvement and requires “non‑acute” cardiac telemetry monitoring. We serve adolescents (16+ years old), adults, and geriatric patients.

• Assist in delivering nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Provide personal care with hygiene and physical comfort, including feeding, bathing, shaving, changing clothes, bed making, ambulation, lifting, turning, moving, and transferring.
• Perform skin care and manage bowel and bladder elimination as required.
• Deliver care that meets patients’ personal primary needs and comfort based on your scope of practice, skills, and abilities.

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or military medical specialty training.
• Six months of related work experience preferred.
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Washington State.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
• Quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire, conducted through internal facility resources.
